This neighborhood tennis league has three goals:

• To provide a fun, supportive environment for Hills residents tennis players of all abilities to enjoy tennis together;

• To introduce Hills tennis players to a broader group of players to expand their tennis network; and

• To build closer relations within The Hills community generally and

               within the tennis community in The Hills in particular

TENNIS TOURNAMENT

To All Hills Tennis Players,
We would like to invite you to participate in this year's annual tennis tournaments. There will be three separate tournaments held over three different weekends beginning in July and ending in October. The tournaments are weekend events only. You do NOT need to join the ladder to participate, but you  (and your partner if doubles) MUST live in the Hills.

Schedule:
We would like to hold a MIXED DOUBLES tournament during the weekend of July 24th and 25th.
We would like to hold a GENDER DOUBLES tournament the weekend of August 7th and 8th.
We would like to hold a SINGLES tournament the weekend of October 2nd and 3rd.
*Rainout dates would be August 14/15 and August 21/22, for the doubles tournaments and October 9/10 for the singles tournament, if necessary.

Format:
We will use the Hills Drive and Signal Point courts. Everyone is guaranteed to play a minimum of two matches and a maximum of four matches over the entire weekend. Play would begin at 8:30 and most likely end by the early afternoon for each day. If you win your first match you will be in the winner’s bracket. If you lose your first match you will go into the consolation bracket. Teams that win their second match will play in the semifinal on Sunday morning at Hills Drive. Finals will take place at Hills Drive in the early afternoon. Start thinking about with whom you would like to partner. There is no entrance fee for the tournament. Each team must bring a new can of tennis balls to the match. The winning team gets to keep the unopened can.

Registration:
Since the tournament format is based on a 16 team draw, we will enter the first 16 teams that register. To register for Doubles tournaments BOTH YOU AND YOUR PARTNER MUST SEND CONFIRMATION. You are not registered until we receive an email from both teammates.

To enter the MIXED DOUBLES tournament, you should email Brian Rogoff bcrogoff@yahoo.com beginning June 24th.

Registration for GENDER DOUBLES tournament will begin on July 7th

Registration for the SINGLES tournament will begin on September 2nd.
